Certificates of proof of entry on the register

This certificate shows that, at the time it was issued, the named doctor held the registration status* shown on the certificate.

It is not proof of identity.

It does not guarantee that this doctor's current status has not changed. You can check their status, and find up to date details of this doctor's eligibility to practise medicine in the UK, on our online register.

If the doctor’s current status includes a reference to APS, this means their practice in the UK is subject to the requirements of our approved practice settings (APS) scheme. You can find more information about APS on our APS web page.

*In some cases, the name of the registration status will differ from the 'Status' shown on the List of Registered Medical Practitioners (LRMP). For example:

Name on a Certificate of proof of entry

Name on LRMP

Visiting EEA registration with a licence to practise Temporary registration with a licence to practise
